This workshop will focus on spinning wool only. Students will learn the proper hand pacement for spinning and the correct way to attach a leader to the bobbin. Then, with guidance and practice, participants will begin to develop the sensitive skills of maintaining the right tension and feeding the fiber with a consistent flow to create the desired thickness of yarn. 

Materials students should provide: A notebook and pen. All other materials and equipment are provided: wool, spindles, wheels

Joy Getha has been knitting for over 40 years, crocheting for 30 and spinning for 17 - an award winner in all categories. She loves to share her passion for fiber arts through teaching and is known for her patience with beginners of all ages. She lives in White Rock, NM.
