Students will learn the basic crochet stitches: chain, single, half-double and double. Yarn size and hook size will be discussed. As time permits, students will start their first project. Patterns are provided for the first project. The student can select from fingerless mittens, a dish cloth, or a scarf. Instructor provides these patterns. Student provides a size G, H or I crochet hook and a light-colored yarn.

Materials students should provide: A crochet hook size G, H or I and one ball worsted weight yarn.

Joy Getha has been knitting for over 40 years, crocheting for 30 and spinning for 17 - an award winner in all categories. She loves to share her passion for fiber arts through teaching and is known for her patience with beginners of all ages. She lives in White Rock, NM.
