SEWING STORIES with Ellie Beth Scott

Learn to embellish and articulate with hand sewing. Students can use templates and symbols, totems, animals and special objects to trace or draw their own designs. We will explore hand stitching with embroidery floss as well as embellishing with beads, buttons, charms, and vintage fabric

Materials student should provide: Please bring to class a pair of scissors and your personal items to incorporate into designs.  All other embellishments are included in materials fee.

Ellie Beth Scott is an exhibiting artist whose work is in private and corporate collections. She holds an MFA from Painting Academy of Art University San Francisco. Ellie considers her work illustrations of narrative scenes rendered in thread, paint, buttons and beads. Her quilted pieces begin as journal drawings, a daily practice for her.

Materials Fee: $15
Materials fee is paid at first class meeting.
