BEGINNING & INTERMEDIATE WEAVING with April Jouse
In this evening class, April will introduce students to all aspects of weaving on floor looms, including loom terminology, basic weaving vocabulary and techniques. By weaving a simple sampler, students will learn to plan and wind a warp, dress the loom front to back, weave basic patterns, how to analyze fabric, read drafts, and more. No experience is necessary for this beginning class. Those who have had some weaving experience will find this the perfect refresher and next step in their weaving adventurer.
Materials Students should bring: a notebook, pen, scissors, and measuring tape to each class.
Looms: Students may choose a floor loom for the duration of the class and one week after the class ends. If you have a favorite loom you may reserve it when you register.
