Do you need a refresher on warping? Is there a project you'd like assistance on, or are you new to weaving? All beginner and intermediate students are welcome in this class.
April Jouse will take students through loom terminology, basic weaving vocabulary and techniques. By weaving a simple sampler, you will learn to plan and wind a warp, dress the loom front to back, basic patterns, read drafts, and more. Students should bring a notebook, pen, scissors, and measuring tape to each class. Looms: Students may choose a floor loom for the duration of the class and one week after the class ends.

No experience necessary!

April Jouse graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA. Her emphasis was in the Fiber and Material Studies department where she focused on weaving, dyeing, sculptural crocheting, embroidery and printing.
