basic knitting classesKnitting is really just a series of interlocking loops. In this beginners class students will learn the basics:

  1. “Casting on” - filling up a knitting needle with starter loops for the desired width
  2. “Knit” and “Purl”- a purl stitch is exactly the same as a knit stitch, worked from the opposite side
  3. “Binding off”- ending your project with a finished edge.

Students will be given a pattern for making a scarf on their own time. This class is apropriate for people of all ages!

Joy Getha has been knitting for over 40 years, crocheting for 30, and spinning for 17. An award winner in all categories, she loves to share her passion through teaching. She is known for her patience with beginners of all ages
