REDEFINING THE MASTERPIECE – FELT PAINTING with Ramsey Scott

October 27 - October 28, 2018
12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Needle Felting is a creative expression of personality and artistry; an art form that is both forgiving and endless in its interpretation. There is an ancient romance to wool, a natural fiber protein that is at a microscopic level, barbed. Thus using barbed needles allows the artist to compress and bind the fibers to create, shape and design for artistic expression. Learn specific needle techniques to carry you forward on your woolly artistic adventure.

Materials Fee:  $32 - per kit which includes 9 x 12 dense foam, one 8 x10 piece of pre-felt, three needles in sizes 36, 38 and 40, a bag of varying colors of merino wool approx. 4 oz., and handouts.

Materials Students Must Bring: Passion and Imagination and an image they would like to recreate in felt
