SEWING SIMPLE CLOTHES with Padmani Cappabianca

simple sewing classesThis class will focus on basic clothing construction using commercial patterns. Students will learn the components of tops, pajama pants, skirts or shorts by creating your own. Time will be spent adjusting pre-made patterns to custom fit your body. Students will discover the wide world of fabric choices, finding a fabric best suited to each piece of clothing. From start to finish; students will learn how to make custom fitted, simple addition to their wardrobe. The first half hour of this class will be devoted to learning use of the EVFAC sewing machines. Those who have experience on the Janome DC 3050 can arrive at 10:30AM. 

Padmani Kaur, aka Christine Cappabianca is the 4th generation of seamstresses in her family. Her mother began teaching her to sew when she was about 10 and she has been sewing ever since. Padmani loves to create anything with fabric; from pillows to bridal gowns. Padmani holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University, where she learned to creatively live life to its fullest. Her website is padmanicraft.com.
