Volunteer

EVFAC loves our volunteers! Join the volunteer crew by filling out the form found in the button below. We will put you ton our call list when we need people for extra help at the center, at events, or with other office related duties. EVFAC is a non-profit and always in need of a little extra help. We thank you greatly for your time and effort, as it is what keeps up running!

Have you already volunteered? Please fill out the Volunteer Log Form below. Logging your volunteer hours goes a long way. We use this information for taxes, and grants. Please finish your volunteer job by completing this form.

Thank you for your interest in helping the Center. We would not have grown to the size we are today without volunteers. As a non-profit organization, we rely on volunteer hours not only to help keep operations going but also to document for grant applications and government reports that the community is involved in our mission. If you are enthusiastic, creative and committed we want you at the Center and during Española Valley Fiber Arts Center events. You need not be a fiber artist to help. Please contact the center for more information on upcoming opportunities!

Tax Deductions

When planning a donation to the Center, you might be able to take a tax deduction for all or a portion of the fair market value of your gift. Consult your tax advisor for details as EVFAC Staff is prohibited from estimating the value of a gift. Check the internet or a local dealer involved in buying and selling Fiber Arts goods and equipment for an estimated retail value for most products. Your donation is deductible to the extent allowed by the Internal Revenue Service.

Donations of Goods

The Center welcomes your donations of time, money, and sellable fiber arts tools and supplies. One way the Española Valley Fiber Arts Center serves the fiber arts community is by “recycling” used equipment and fiber arts supplies. Our sales of donated equipment and supplies helps support the Center, provides an important service in conserving resources, and helps our members acquire supplies at reduced costs. We have limits on space and staff time for processing donations and ask that you contact us before bringing in any donations.

The Española Valley Fiber Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The information you provide on the donation form provides us with your current contact information, which we will use to thank you with a letter documenting your donation. You can use this letter to claim any available tax refund. The form also allows us to track community support.

Your donated items will be put to good use: either sold in our shop or used in our Center as determined by our staff. Items must be in good, usable condition; for example, materials should not be contaminated by mold, moths or smoke. The Center retains the right to refuse items.
