Learn to weave on a four harness floor loom!
In this 4-day Introductory weaving Class, students learn everything they need to know to design and weave simple but beautiful weavings with a 4-harness loom. The course includes instruction in loom setup. Students will learn to fully dress the loom: Design a weaving project, wind a warp, slay and thread your project, tie it on, and weave away! You will also learn the art that goes behind planning and designing a beautiful weaving project.
Multiple techniques are covered in this introductory course with Karen Hampton, including plain weave, basket weave, twill, and some tapestry techniques.
We hope to see you weaving away! Join Karen this August.

Karen moved from Massachusetts, where she taught weaving and surface design at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Karen weaves together the textures and colors of the ancient world with that of an imagined future.
