Upcycled Paper Making 101

$20 for deckle and mold ,paper pulp and dye

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll transform cotton clothing waste into pulp then into unique sheets of creativity. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a curious beginner, come unleash your inner artist as we explore vibrant hues and textures together. Grab your apron and let’s make some memories— and paper! What You’ll Learn: Building a Deckle Mold, Prepping Pulp, Dying & Additives, Making Paper, Drying Process, Ideas for use of handmade Paper

Materials instructor will provide:

Deckle and Molds, Black bins for paper Making , Stable Gun , Stables, Wood Glue, Dye, Paper Pulp, Towels, Cotton sheets, 3-4 tables, Rollers For paper Making, Sizing, All things needed to make paper.

Materials students should provide:

  • Work clothes and a fun attitude!

About Chauncey Foster: Chauncey Foster, a local paper maker in Northern New Mexico, is pioneering a No Waste Material Cycle. Through hosting six clothing swaps annually, he repurposes cotton textile waste into exquisite handmade paper. Join him in this transformative journey, as he leads you through the process of creating sustainable paper from recycled materials.
