Beginning Jogakbo with Kuzana Ogg

Kuzana led this introductory workshop on jogakbo: the Korean reversible patchwork tradition.

This Korean textile format has its roots in the Chosun dynasty, yet is strikingly contemporary. You will use traditional ramie cloth to piece and hand sew a small pojagi (wrapping cloth).

Each sewn creation will be a uniquely beautiful composition of shapes and lines.

About Kuzana Ogg: Kuzana Ogg lived and worked in South Korea as a professor and an artist. In 2001 she returned to the USA to continue her career in painting. She has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally-and is locally represented in Santa Fe by Canyon Road's K Contemporary gallery. Kuzana's first love is textiles. She is currently working on several pieces in her Los Alamos studio.
